Ice Cream, Ice Cream, he will be screaming for Ice Cream...

For those of you don't know, Jacob is going in tomorrow morning to have his tonsils removed. He has been snoring, having sleep issues, a bit sleep apnea, and breathes loud. So, we had them checked out at his 5-year check up and the doctor said, 'those are some of the largest tonsils I have ever seen'. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers over the next up coming days as even though this is routine, he is getting a bit nervous.

Meanwhile, he has spent the week picking out Popsicles, yogurt, pudding, jello and soup to 'help him heal'. Not to mention a couple of new trucks, new video, and a really cool ABC book to work on. So, he is prepared for the recovery part...just not sure why his sister gets to go to a sleep over at the cousins house and he has to get up early in the morning.

Isabella has an exciting couple of firsts as well. She had her first dance class last week and had so much fun playing on the stage in the curtains, so as for dance....I don't know. Then after her first dance class she had her first sleep over. She had two of her friends join us for pizza, cookies, dress up, mani/pedi's, and you can't end the night wiht out a movie about a Princess (notice the top photo, Jacob was Prince Charming that night). The girls were so great, but it was a long day after as they didn't go to sleep until 11:00 and were up by 6:00. Can't wait until the next one!

House Update....

We are having some summer fun during the daytime hours, playing, outside, meeting new babysitter, playing with uncle Luke, taking walks and gearing up for school. Then in the evenings we go take a look at the progress of the house and spend time designing the inside. Then on the weekends we visit local vendors picking out the necessities that go inside the house. It's great fun!

Where did the Spring go - can't believe it's July?

Whew - seriously, where did the Spring go? Not talking heat - I just can't believe it's July already. WOW!

Well, we have tried in 5 short years, music, gymnastics, swim lessons, karate, basketball, soccer, and now it looks like we have a winner......(drum roll)....T-Ball. Jacob has been playing T-ball and absolutely loving every minute of it. As you can tell from above, we have tried many things over the years, so I only signed him up for one session of t-ball and we are sad that we are finished....but you can bet we will be playing again next year. He just loved it.

The house is coming along nicely. We have some outside walls. Now if we could just decide on a house color. Any ideas?

We have had a great holiday weekend. First everyone went camping to visit with some friends from out of town - great company, camping, steak, and smores. Doesn't get much better. We spent the actual 4th with some friends - bbq, fireworks, and plenty of fun. Then last night we spent the evening in our old neighborhood with friends and more bbq. All in all, I say it was a success and a lot of fun. The kids napped each day and slept in a bit this morning. Whew - we all needed it. Thanks friends can't wait to move and start hosting parties, holiday's, and events once again.
